Hello, I’m Silvia Mulet. Offering creative design solutions to solve business problems is what I do best. I’m a graphic/web/interaction designer from Tarragona (Catalonia, Spain). I studied a Bachelor Hons in Advertising and Public Relations at Rovira i Virgili’s University (Tarragona) and also completed specialized courses in graphic and web design in Barcelona. During my degree I travelled a lot, living and studying in different parts of Spain (Málaga) and Europe (Dublin, Ireland; and Pesaro, Italy).
I decided to move to Barcelona on the completion of my degree, where I worked with various advertising companies in the capacity of art director, and in a graphic design studio. I feel this gives me an extensive awareness about the industry and graphic design itself.
Following this experience, I moved to Edinburgh to polish my English language skills and accumulate further professional and life experience. After studying and successfully obtaining the Cambridge Advanced English certificate, I had the opportunity to move to Beijing and work as a graphic designer in China.
Always keen to improve myself, in 2013 I studied for a Specialization Certificate in Usability and interaction design in the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. This subject piqued my interest and has influenced my decision to learn more about user experience design. Last July I finished a MSc postgraduate degree in Human Computer Interaction.
Continuous personal and professional development is fundamental to my personal philosophy. I believe this mindset has helped me to gain experience across a vast range of materials, media and situations, and to develop what I believe are my key strengths: good communication skills and the ability to adapt.
Well, enough about me – what about you? I’d love to hear from you. Give me a shout at firstname.lastname@example.org, or…send me a postcard! (Why not?) In the meantime, to find out more about my professional background, see my Resume (English Version)
